Street and Road Information

The City of Weldon Spring's number one goal is Public Safety. To that end the City is committed to improving the public's safety as they travel from place to place within our network of roads. Many of the roadways in the City were originally designed to handle only rural farming traffic and over time as the population grew the demands placed on the rural roads became more and more. These roads went from narrow gravel roads to slightly wider chip n' seal roads that would allow vehicles to pass one another at the same time. This of course was a huge safety improvement compared to the previous conditions that did not allow for two way traffic. As traffic continued to pick up the roads were eventually paved with asphalt. Today, the City is taking progressive steps to again improve the safety conditions of the local public roadway system by upgrading the existing roadways to higher standards that are better able to handle the current traffic flow volumes.
