The City of Weldon Spring welcomes new alderman
Weldon Spring, MO- The City of Weldon Spring welcomed recently elected Alderman Don Schwaab to the Board of Alderman Thursday evening. Schwaab is an Alderman in Ward II. He will be joining six other elected officials on the board.
Elected Officials:
· Donald Licklider, Mayor
· Bill Hillmer, Alderman Ward I
· Bruce Robb, Alderman Ward I
· Janet Kolb, Alderman Ward II
· Gerry Baker, Alderman Ward III
· Bill Kohrs, Alderman Ward III
Schwaab is eager to get to work as alderman and “give back to the city”. Like many others, Don Schwaab and his family were affected by the tornado that ran through Weldon Spring in 2013. He says “Weldon Spring did so much for him and his family, that he felt that it was my duty to run for alderman and help Weldon Spring like they helped him”. While Schwaab might be new to alderman position in Weldon Spring, he has been a part of the city’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for several years now.
Although Weldon Spring is gaining an Alderman on the board, the city is also losing one. Schwaab will be replacing Alderman Mark Kaiser, who did not seek re-election. Kaiser served as an Alderman in Ward II for two years. The Mayor presented Mark Kaiser with a certificate of appreciation to thank him for his hard work and dedication for the past two years!
