The Fourth of July is a time to celebrate our great Country's independence and freedom with friends and family. Usually these celebrations include shooting off fireworks; here are some important reminders before you light your first firecracker this year...

The City of Weldon Spring allows the discharging of fireworks from July 2nd through July 6th of every year to accommodate our residents' holiday celebrations. Here is a link to the city's Fireworks Regulations.

Sometimes folks like to shoot off fireworks outside the window of time which allows for the discharging of fireworks. Perhaps it's to celebrate another special occasion or due to rescheduling a party because of the weather not cooperating with your planned event.

Whatever the case may be the City's elected officials have allowed for residents to request permission to discharge fireworks during other times of the year by completing and submitting a no-cost application to City Hall. Here is a link to the Application to Discharge Fireworks. If you have any questions call City Hall.

Remember to always follow the manufacture's directions and recommendations when discharging fireworks. Here are some important fireworks safety tips from the National Council on Fireworks Safety.
