Please be advised that the Weldon Spring Municipal Court office will be closed from September 7, 2021 until approximately October 1, 2021. The Court Administrator will be out of the office on a medical leave.  The Court office will re-open as soon as medically feasible.   
 
If a payment needs to be made to the Municipal Court, payment may be made by debit or credit via www.trafficpayment.com or to 800-444-1187. There is also a secure drop box at the Municipal Court window where a payment can also be dropped off. 
 
Telephone voice mail messages to the Court will be returned as soon as possible.  Continuance of Court dates will not be granted via voice mail.

DUE to the Missouri Supreme Court order; with concerns about the COVID-19 virus, this Court will be following the below rules/recommendation made by the Missouri Supreme Court, St. Charles County Presiding Judge, The CDC, St. Charles County Health Department and Local Officials. 

  1. Any person attending Court at the City Hall facility/building must wear a mask. If you do not have a mask one will be provided.

  2. Your temperature will be taken before entering the building.

  3. You will be asked screening questions used by St. Charles County Health Department

  4. You will be required to provide contact information in the event of exposure to the virus, we can contact you.

  5. Only the person/defendant scheduled on the docket will be allowed entry into the building, with the exception of a parent or guardian if the defendant is 17 years old or younger.

  6. Maintain 6' (six feet) between you and the next person in line, at any given time.

The City of Weldon Spring Municipal Court is a Municipal Division of the 11th Judicial Circuit Court of the State of Missouri. This Court hears all cases involving traffic and other violations of the Weldon Spring Municipal Code and ensures that the day-to-day operations of the judicial branch of city government are carried out in a professional and efficient manner. The Municipal Court also provides responsible management of court records, the collection of fines and bond forfeiture revenues and filing of state reports.

Court is normally held on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 6:00pm and is conducted at City Hall:

You are welcome to make payments directly in person to the Court Administrator at 5401 Independence Rd. There is also a secure drop box at the Municipal Court window where a payment can also be dropped off. 

Message From Weldon Spring Court

  • You have been summoned to come to court on the date shown on your ticket.

  • You may plead not guilty by coming to court and a trial date will be set.

  • You may plead guilty by mail or by coming to the Weldon Spring Court to pay your fine.

  • If you plead guilty. you will be given a new date to pay if you cant pay the day of court.

  • If you want to plead guilty, but you don't have the funds to pay your ticket, you still must come to court. You will not be arrested for not having money to pay.

  • If you are indigent, you may be required to complete documentation to be to be determined by the court as evidence of your financial status and as an aid to the count in assessing fines, costs and setting of a payment plan.

  • If you do not come to court when summoned to do so, you are subject to a warrant being issued for your arrest. 

Proper Decorum and Procedures for a Courtroom Appearance

Those appearing before Court should keep in mind that Court is an experience that requires common sense and respect for the institution of the Court.

Therefore, certain things should be obvious, however, this polite reminder shall assist you in your preparation for an appearance before this Court.

  • Cell phones shall be turned off or muted while in Court.

  • Gentlemen and ladies shall remove their hats as a sign of respect for the Judge.

  • Consider your attire before dressing for Court.  T-shirts with vulgarity or those promoting drugs would be considered disrespectful to this Court and Judge.

The Court shall not dictate a dress code, but common sense should prevail when preparing for a Court appearance.  If you don’t wish to be judged by your appearance, then you should consider how you appear to the Judge. 

Finally,
No weapons shall be permitted except those carried by licensed law enforcement officers.
