The St. Louis HOME Consortium is conducting an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI). The consortium includes St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Jefferson County, the cities of Florissant and O’Fallon, and the Housing Authority of St. Louis County. The study is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) so that the Consortium members can continue to receive federal housing and community development funds. The AI discusses patterns of race, housing, and poverty; access to opportunity; and housing barriers in the region. It will also outline strategies the Consortium members and other community partners may take to improve housing choices for their residents.
Residents are invited to participate in a virtual public meeting where research, findings, and a draft set of impediments will be presented. Input from meeting participants regarding solutions and strategies that should be implemented to address the region’s fair housing barriers is an important part of this study and the primary purpose of the public meeting. To join the virtual meeting and provide input, residents should register in advance using the link below.
