On Friday, October 14th, Weldon Spring Senior Residents will be invited to participate in our Annual Senior Appreciation Day – a day we spend giving back to our senior community.   This annual event provides local senior citizens with an opportunity to meet at a familiar place enjoy lunch and entertainment amongst friends and City Personnel and Volunteers. It will be the sixteenth time that The City of Weldon Spring has hosted this very special event. The City looks for businesses and organizations to proudly donate various gifts, prizes and baskets to show their appreciation for our senior community.

City staff and volunteers will provide our guests  with a early dinner, drinks, dessert, entertainment, gifts and a special “Goodie Bag” for each to take home as a memento of this event provided by local businesses to not only promote their businesses; but to show our senior community how they appreciate them, too. Everyone will enjoy the entertainment provided including our favorite Balloon Artist, Brian, our locals Gary & Carol Bibb and their Trail Busters Band.  ALSO, we will once again have a special booth set up for anyone wishing to get their nails polished.

Our 16th Annual Senior Citizen’s Day will be held on Friday, October 14th from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Students from Mary Emily Bryan School will provide special hand-drawn placemats and serve as volunteers for this event.  We enjoy seeing the generations interact with one another and find it is just as enjoyable for the students as it is for our senior citizens.  We invite anyone aged 62 and over to please join us for this event which will be held in our Senior Barn located on city hall property at 5401 Independence Road.  (We will provide golf cart rides to for anyone not able to walk all the way to the Barn.)
