Inauguration Day in the City of Weldon Spring

Swearing in ceremonies took place Thursday, April 27, 2017 for four re-elected officials for the office of Mayor and 3 members of the Board of Aldermen
Following the April 4th municipal election all four incumbents were re-elected and sworn in at the regular Board of Aldermen meeting held at City Hall on Thursday, April 27, 2017. 

When asked what the top priorities were for the coming term Mayor Licklider said, "Getting Independence Road phase 3 completed and beginning the final phase 4  are the top priorities." He also indicated that increasing police presence, implementing improvements identified in the park master plan and maintaining a strong city government are among his long term goals.

The re-elected members of the Board of Aldermen where sworn in as well. 

Aldermen Bill Hillmer, Janet Kolb and Gerry Baker commented on future developments within the City and its priorities. Bill Hillmer, Ward 1 commented that "it is important for the City to engage with the youth in the years to come." Mrs.Janet Kolb, Ward 2 mentioned that "the main priority is the road project and one of my goals is to create a trail that connects to Katy Trail for better accessibility."Gerry Baker, Ward 3  said that "It is important that the City to properly communicate with its residents through all the means possible."
